Electronic EFTCO Cleaning Order (eECO) Solution
The eECO or electronic EFTCO Cleaning Order is the new digital variant of the EFTCO cleaning order on paper used between the carrier and cleaning station.
Today, in bulk transport, the transport company decides based upon the transport order to clean or not to clean its equipment when planning the next trip. If the decision is to clean the equipment before its next load, then the transport company has the option to issue an EFTCO cleaning order with more detailed EFTCO cleaning instructions and codes for the Cleaner. To do so, EFTCO created an standardized EFTCO cleaning order format which can be consulted on their website.
Because, these paper documents are typically being communicated by email and per equipment to the Cleaner or by instructions to the truck driver to the cleaner, ECLIC has digitalized this EFTCO Cleaning Order in an electronic EFTCO cleaning order or eECO. Besides, this eECO contains already the equipment configuration (number of compartments, volume per compartment, presence of baffles, etc…) of the equipment to be cleaned including the previous load info. This digitalization allows to work paperless between the carrier and cleaner while the cleaning of the truck can be pre-announced and pre-planned without involvement of the truck driver. The eECO’s are also auto-archived within the eECD process allowing to simplify the related administration. To summarize, the electronic Proof of Previous Load got embedded within the eECD process and the end to end process got between the transport company and the cleaner got further digitalized simplified.
The benefits of an ePPL can be summarized as follows
- Eliminate admin paperwork and pdf’s or excel sheets
- Enable pre-announcement of equipment. Apply fast-lane principles at cleaning stations
- Simplify administration and improve data accuracy
- Automatic transfer of eECO instructions and EFTCO codes into the eECD process
- Automatic communication of the equipment configuration and previous load to the cleaner
- Allow 24/7 cross-docking logistics concepts
