What is eDD?
Electronic Depot Declaration. This digital document is issued when a container is moved to a storage depot and replaces the manual stamp and manual written comments on a paper ECD. Within the eECD process this is an extra digital attachment to the eECD initiated by the EqOP when assigning the equipment to a transport order.
The eDD is always linked to a specific eECD and looks as follows:
eDD benefits
The benefits to use the solution can be summarized as follows
- Make paper based procedures or manual stamps redundant
- Save cleaning costs
- Guarantee safe loading in case of an eECD expiry date warning and avoid product quality issues/contaminations
eDD API integration – system connectivity
Given the Solution is digitally embedded within the eECD process, the connectivity methodology of the eDD is the same as for eECD.
